Advanced Course in Basic & Clinical Immunology

Application deadline: November 25, 2017 in order to allow time for the US VISA for the selected participants.


The IUIS Gender Equality and Career Development Committee (GEC) in collaboration with the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) will co-sponsor 4 trainees from the developing world to attend the above course. IUIS will pay for a travel bursary of USD 2,000 maximum, while FOCIS will cover for registration, 4 night’s accommodation and meals during the course. Additional expenses, if any will be the responsibility of the selected participant.

First International IUIS-FAIS-IMMUNO-ETHIOPIA Course

The IUIS Education Committee is mandated to help organizing immunology courses in the developing world.The IUIS-FAIS-IMMUNO-ETHIOPIA Course was the first international course ever held at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. From February 26th 2017 to March 5th, 14 students representing 16 countries gathered for 7 intense, dynamic and interactive days!

Call for expression of interest/Terms of Reference Telecommunication coverage and outreach technology mapping for Pandemic Influenza Risk Communication and Community Engagement.

One of the anticipated main challenges in an influenza pandemic is to be able to reach populations, responders and decision-makers in all areas of all countries. Even in pandemic readiness work, there is an urgent and persisting need to reach diverse population groups, anywhere in the world. This need for reach across the world is especially important for pandemic risk communication and community engagement work.

I was really fortunate to have been a part of such a highly educational and scientific course.The FOCIS and IUIS is known to organize such informative courses.The course was held at avery beautiful place i.e. ScottsdaleResort and Spa, Arizona, USA from 19th-22nd February, 2017.The course included a total of 13 well known eminent Immunologists as faculty from different reputed institutes of USA, including UCSF, University of Massachusates, Harvard Medical School, University of Pennsilviniya, Yale School of Medicine, Stanford University etc and around 60 participants globally.
